The Minnesota Twins are a professional baseball team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They play in the Central Division of Major League Baseball's American League. The Minnesota Twins Baseball Club has made a concerted effort to positively affect the community since the club’s move to Minnesota in 1961. The club, its players and employees provide resources, memorabilia, volunteer hours and cash grants to assist more than 5,000 nonprofit organizations and fundraisers in the Upper Midwest and SW Florida each year.

In 2014, it is estimated that there will be more than 120,000 cases of Leukemia/Lymphoma across the United States. The American Cancer Society has over $43 million currently invested in research for Leukemia/Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma across the United States. The Minnesota Twins and the American Cancer Society have teamed up to ensure the significant decline in Leukemia/Lymphoma deaths continue for years to come.
